On the night of Kartik Purnima the ghats are lit with lakhs of diyas. It is the busiest night of the year in Varanasi, so plan ahead.
Getting around
We are not on the ghats, and that is the point: no crowds or late-night noise outside your door. Autos and e-rickshaws are easy to find on the main road, and Uber, Ola and Rapido operate here.

Timings change during Maha Shivratri and Sawan. Check with your host before you go.
Long stays
